Dizzy - getting better!

Hi folks.
As reported a couple of weeks back -we had issues with the brakes. Thankfully this was sorted last weekend by my mate Martin, after getting the brakes bled with the help of Ted, and the car has been on the road all week. Stunned silence.
The Stop solenoid is finally fitted, and proved to be a real pig of a job. The spanner to use is a 15/16" open ended, that has been mullerred with a grinder, so that it fits where it should. Even then, you'll learn how to swear real quick! But still there's a problem with the fuel.
When you try and accelerate through the gears, the car seems to almost stop. 3rd gear and 25mph is pretty good at the moment, and I'm on the case. I want to check the sender unit to make sure all is well, but the access panel is glue with dreaded rust and will have to be cut away to gain access. Rolling back the carpet in the boot shows more of the dreaded rot, we'll be needing a new boot floor soon.
Onwards and upwards!
