Dizzy with glee!

No , not that cr*p on the TV ! Car was in the garage yesterday for welding - as required to get through the MOT.
I was intending to buy repair panels like this Offside inner wheel arch from YRM but after pricing this and a battery tray panel from the same source, I decided to get the local Repair shop to quote. In the end they made up the panels themselves from 3mm thick Galvanised sheet, and welded the whole lot (incl. fabrication) for £105.00. That was a good days work - I'm sure I got value for money! They also repaired a floor section by the rear door (near the door strap bolt) that had succumbed to the metal moth.

Today I will get the MOT retest done and all things being equal drive away with new MOT Cert.

UPDATE: MOT Retest completed on 9th July, mileage 138506 Miles.
