NSF window runner 145400

Since the purchase of the car last year, the front passenger electric window had never worked. That didn't bother me until one day a couple of weeks ago, when the window decided to open itself fully and proceed not to close again. Thats a problem in terms of security that i had to fix. I was a couple of weeks from payday so decided to have a go at fitting a new window runner myself. The R.A.V.E. manual and the Haynes manual tell you this is a "glass out" job, but with minimal tools, careful planning and maybe a bit of luck i was able to prove them wrong. The new runner slides into the door via the front aperture in the picture. Then I held the runner and rubber centre up to the glass with my right hand, and pushed the glass in with my left. I won't say it was easy, but i managed the complete job - including putting the door card back on - in less than 2 hours.
