After much deliberation, fact finding and talking to various members of the Discovery Owners Club, I have today taken the plunge and starting running the car on Vegetable oil mixed with Diesel. A lot of people run 100% veg oil all summer, and i may well do the same. For now though I'm using 3 parts Diesel to 1 Part Veg Oil. With the veg oil easily available at £1.00 per litre, and the fact that I'm unemployed, it means I can go a few extra miles on my money.
